JOB DESCRIPTION

Huntington Ingalls Industries' (HII) Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Analytics and Services Operation group is seeking an Associate Program Management Analyst to support contracts with the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Intelligence Community. This includes projects to develop systems used for information collection and dissemination to detect, identify, assess, exploit or neutralize threats to the U.S. and its interests. Many of these projects require an extremely fast turnaround to meet mission schedules and objectives and include requirements for logistics management and integration services for the US Government at Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) locations.

Position Summary

Under immediate supervision, performs a variety of administrative support services involving:

Document review, reporting, tracking, project coordination, budget review, technical writing, travel arrangements, reporting, purchasing support, and other related duties in support of the program management office, the program manager and project managers in a multi-program portfolio. 

Interfaces with vendors and customers and performs extensive investigations, as required.  

Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for all or any combination of the below tasking together with the PMO Team.

  • Establish, utilize, and maintain trackers for deliverables, financials, operations, purchasing, security, training, travel, etc.
  • Review and file documents in appropriate folders for easy retrieval
  • Compile status reports and financial data
  • Assist in the preparation of processes and procedures and other technical documentation to ensure standardization and streamlining
  • Assist with travel approval, arrangements, documentation, and tracking
  • Assist with purchasing approval, documentation, and tracking
  • Support adherence to quality standards
  • Support project setup, control/monitor/execution, and closeouts

Ability to clearly communicate across all levels inside and outside the organization

Outstanding writing and editing skills with comprehensive knowledge of grammar, punctuation, spelling, and usage of the English language. 

Technical writing skills are highly desired.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to meet deadlines and communicate project blockers.

Ability to adapt to changing priorities and timelines.

This is a highly dynamic and demanding role and tasking may be adjusted as needed.

Education and Experience

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree, with 1-2 years directly related experience working in support of a Program Manager in the DoD industry is preferred.

In some cases, work experience of 5 plus years may substitute for education requirements provided work experience is highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience.

CAPM or PMP certification highly desired.

Candidates with experience in IAC, OASIS, RSC, GSA and/or FEDSIM will be considered strongly.

Strong Technical Writing, with MS Office experience Excel, Word, and MS Project.

US Citizenship required.

Secret security clearance highly desired.  Candidate must be eligible to obtain a minimum of a secret security clearance within 6 months of hire.
