Responsibilities/Qualification

 

Under general supervision, formulates and defines systems scope and objectives through user needs and an understanding of business systems and industry requirements.  May provide input on continuous process improvement strategies, organizational redesign, and change management projects.  These improvements can be implemented in any functional area and are not limited to IT.

  • 1) Assessment (10%):
    • Collect data points and conduct periodic assessment
    • Group and coordinate data to support evaluation
    • Evaluate data and organize it into focus areas
    • Manage data in a common repository
  • 2) Evaluation (20%):
    • Consider surveys, work culture evaluations, and other organizational tools to gain meaningful data
    • Develop and assess metrics and ensure quality of strategic management program
      • Balanced Scorecard
      • Quarterly Metrics
    • Provide verification and analysis on all strategic solutions to ensure quality management
    • Develops and evaluate survey results and other inputs to verify effectiveness and quality of feedback tools
    • Report risks, concerns, and alternatives prior to innovation event commencement and post completion
  • 3) Display data in a multitude of viewpoints to support evaluation and assessment (10%)
  • 4) IT/Data Management Coordination and Support (25%):
    • Product template development/product review and edit/coordinate data before web placement/sorting and organization structure
    • Interact with TSUB and NAVSEA POCs who manage various IT products
    • Ensures proper collection and storage of assessment and evaluation data
    • Maintain iNAVSEA/iNATION/INFUSION page for Innovation Plan and Management

  • 5) General Innovation Program Management Activities (35%):
    • Configuration control over Process Owner POA&Ms
    • Schedule, metrics, presentation development
    • Reports directly to the InPT Strategy Manager
    • Supports the entire DAC team as related and all innovation events across the board (regular attendance to all event activities)

Education / Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree and a 2 to 4 years of applicalbe experience.

Strategic Management and/or Innovation Management experience

Familiar with managing programs and regularly working in program offices (3+ years)

A security clearance of an appropriate level may be required after employment.

Creative problem solving who can execute an organizational improvement to closure using a POA&M

Organized and detail oriented to manage the IMS/IMP for the Innovation Program

Understanding of Lean Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, Designing Thinking, and Innovation approaches is desired

Understand of process management, change management, organizational improvement, and quality

Innovative with new approaches to display information and taking different approaches to problem solving

Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.

Excellent customer service skills.
