Job Description

Enlighten, an Alion company is looking for a Cloud Automation Intern.  The ideal candidate is in their junior or senior year in college or has 1 year of experience.  Will work in a fast paced, small business environment, maintaining and updating big data systems automation and cloud management tooling.

Duties:

• Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of distributed computing systems and configuration management automation
• Python and Bash scripting for development of product features 
• Troubleshooting customer reported issues in applications and providing support
• Engage in quality assurance testing 

Security Clearance:

• A government clearance is not required, but candidate must be able to obtain a clearance that requires a background investigation, and a polygraph and therefore must be a U.S. Citizen.

Required Skills:

• Pursuing or has obtained a B.S. Degree in Computer Science or a related field (Prefer candidates in Junior/Senior year)
• Python 2.7+ development
• Bash scripting to automate and simplify complex system operations
• Familiarity with Git and Jira or other version control and issue tracking software
• Comfortable working on a Linux command line and working with Linux OS
• Self-motivated – a strong desire to find and address gaps in execution or capability without explicit direction
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize open issues/ tickets accordingly
• Problem solving skills and ability to review information and compile data appropriately as needed
