Job Description

Alion is a $1B federal DOD government contractor, focused on Technology Solutions for our customers.

Senior Contract Administrator - Conducts and assists in proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with Company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities

Reviews and prepares contract awards and contract modifications.

Maintains contractual records and documentation such as receipt and control of all contract correspondence, customer contact information sheets, contractual changes, status reports and other documents for all projects. Maintains data in corporate information systems.

Analyzes contract performance requirements, including unique or unusual special provisions and terms and conditions to ensure compliance with the federal/state laws, agency regulations, and company policy and procedures.

Prepares and processes requests directly to the customer for additional funds or de-obligation of funds when required.

Ensures that contract and other binding agreements have been reviewed and approved prior to execution in accordance with company policy.

Negotiates and establishes teaming agreements and non-disclosure agreements, as assigned, with potential industry partners.

Assists in the preparation of proposals, inclusive of pricing and cost narratives.

Performs additional contract administration duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in related discipline plus 5 to 7 years of directly related experience.

Experience in a government contracting environment is required.

Experience with all contract types, inclusive of FFP, required.

Experience and familiarity with NAVSEA, SeaPort Next Generation (SeaPort NxG) CPFF-level of effort, and CPFF fee per man hour contracts is preferred.

Pricing experience required.

In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 9 years applicable work experience.  Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience for positions involving new technology or labor market shortages as reflected by market survey data.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Thorough knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), inclusive of OCI provisions, and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).

Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel and MS Word

A security clearance of an appropriate level may be required after employment
