Job Description

Position Summary:

 This position is in support of the F-35 Governance & Compliance Team of the F-35 Logistics and Sustainment Office.

The incumbent supports the Governance & Compliance Team. Specifically provides program management, project and planning, analytical, technical and business administration support to the Planning & Programming Execution Manager/Deputy Logistics & Sustainment Policy Integration within the F-35 Lightning II Logistics and Sustainment Office 

Internal principle interfaces for this position are with the individual Team Leads within the F35 Logistics and Sustainment and Engineering Communities nd the Weapon System Program Management Teams within the Program and the associated Value Streams Teams within the Air System Contractor Prime Team and Propulsion System Contractor Teams.  

Job Duties:

  • Provide technical support of the Sustainment elements of the Program Master Plan / Integrated Master Schedule and provide expertise in the area of project management and business administration tools.
  • Specifically support in developing processes and products and establishing management controls for all aspects relevant to F-35 Program Office Sustainment Projects and Activities in support of the related Sustainment plans and policies.
  • Provide analytical, technical, and administrative support to the Planning & Programming Execution Manager/Deputy Logistics & Sustainment Policy Integration during the planning, documentation and execution of all F-35 Sustainment documentation requirements, policy and plans.
  • Responsible for reviewing, evaluating, coordinating and compiling a wide range of Team and individual PMO/IPT inputs to Sustainment Documentation and Data.

•       F-35 Sustainment Policy activities:

  • Manage Logistics and Sustainment planning and policy data and databases and data management systems. Supports Community of Practice, IPT and LM hosted meetings, teleconferences and Review Boards.
  • Update and maintain Sustainment Policy and Planning documentation.
  •  Coordinate working level effort for completion, agreement, and approval of developed and documented procedures, and establish a controlled structure for all applicable documents for Logistics & Sustainment Policy Integration Team. Assists in assessing and addressing Service policy gaps.
  • Support the development of Sustainment Plans and Policies.  Coordinate reviews and provide technical insight into the development of the overarching structural documentation to include Strategy, Logistics and Sustainment Instructions, policy and F-35 Program Directives.
  • Participate in all Logistics & Sustainment Policy Integration Team meetings. Assists in organizing and actively participates in numerous working group meetings, action groups, panels and teams as directed by the Deputy.
  • Compose/update documents and presentations and design/build management products using all Microsoft (MS) Office products and other applications as required.  These include, but are not limited to, MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, MS Teams and Sharepoint.

Qualifications:

  • Program / Project Management knowledge and experience in defense acquisition plus 2-5 years experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Logistics or Business Management related Discipline.

Desired Experience:

  • Experience in working with various US Military Services and Foreign Military Nations
  • Understanding of DoD planning programming budgeting and execution processes
  • Ability to work and collaborate in a team environment within the F-35 Joint Program Office.  

SECURITY CLEARANCE: DoD Secret

Minimal travel expected. Work performed on-site at client offices in Crystal City, Virginia.
