Job Description

The Navy Warfare Development Command (NWDC) ISSO is responsible for tracking and coordinating cyber security initiatives and ensuring deliverable quality.   The ISSO will compile, review and submit Certification and Accreditation artifacts to the Navy Security Control Assessor (SCA) and coordinate with representatives of the Navy Authorizing Official (NAO).  The ISSO will  project manage and contribute to teams of SME’s responsible for writing system descriptions, drafting system topologies and other C&A package artifacts. The Information Assurance Specialist will support the Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) of new systems and operational systems undergoing reaccreditation.

Required qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field plus 2 to 4 years of directly related experience.  Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience for positions involving new technology or labor market shortages as reflected by market survey data.  In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for Associate's degree plus 3+ years OR High School diploma/GED and 5+ years of applicable work experience.

- Security + Certification required. 

- Basic knowledge of common enterprise network service implementations and network architecture principles  

- Knowledge of eMASS/XACTA

- Knowledge in network architecture and IP addressing required       

- Basic knowledge of relevant tools, equipment, hardware, and software                                                    

- Basic internal team communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.                                                  

Desired qualifications:

- Professional and/or academic experience with 2 to 4 years of the following:

- Enterprise network service implementations and network architecture principles   

- Network architecture and IP addressing

- Relevant tools, equipment, hardware, and software                                                     

- Strong interpersonal and team communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.                                                  

- Experience with eMASS/XACTA

- CASP/CISSP/CISM Certification. 

- Linux+/CCNA/MCSE

Must be a US citizen, currently hold and able to maintain a Secret Secuity Clearance
