MacAulay-Brown Inc., an Alion Company  is seeking onsite Intelligence Analysts (Level 5) to provide analytical support to the FBI Counterintelligence Division (CD).  The candidate will support the CD mission to protect the United States by identifying, understanding, and combating foreign government activities that pose a threat to national security. The Intelligence Analyst will be required to complete analysis and reports to support the mission in accomplishing the functions of the intelligence cycle – collection, analysis(strategic, tactical, and domain), and dissemination at the national-level.

The position will require candidates with counterintelligence (CI) experience and skills pertinent to the intelligence field to conduct research, exploit and analyze the information, and disseminate that analysis as actionable information related to CI threats.

The analyst will provide intelligence analysis support for CI focused intelligence and operational initiatives in accordance with the FBI mission objectives specific to CD priorities. The analysis shall support USIC efforts to develop comprehensive actionable analysis.  Candidates must have experience developing intelligence reports and analytic products consistent with Office of the Director of National Intelligence tradecraft and integrity standards.

Key Duties (may include but are not limited to the following):

  • Provide analytical support to review and assess sensitive intelligence data holdings and coordinate with other entities in the FBI as appropriate to determine the significance/impact of that information.
  • Review information contained in a classified database, as well as Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Access and various Intelligence Community databases.
  • Will be required to attend various meetings to support the development of reports, assessments and briefings.
  • Will provide preliminary assessment reports and daily/weekly/monthly updates on data submittals related to the review of classified intelligence information.
  • Provide analytic assessments, develop intelligence work products research open /closed source databases, develop position papers and briefings as necessary for dissemination of FBI Executive Management and other stakeholders in the FBI and larger USIC.
  • Develop innovative methodologies to proactively identify, analyze, manipulate and exploit data, identify links between target entities, and interpret those links through network analysis tools for operational purposes;
    • Reactive data analysis support in response to requests from FBI Headquarters, Field Offices, and other Government agencies.
    • Task management support – program / project management, strategic / mission planning.
  • Support to multiple simultaneous projects regarding concept development, developmentand implementation of new analytical processes, functional analysis, andsustaining activities;
  • Data analysis and geospatial analytical support;
  • Quality control of processes and products produced;
  • Identification of links between two or more FBI investigations;
  • Access and perform research on intelligence databases and exploitation tools for thepurpose of identifying information of interest to the customer, analyze theinformation, identify operational leads, articulate findings through anappropriate medium.
  • Preparer contribute to complex intelligence studies or reports which include allaspects related to their specifically-defined geographic or functional areas.
  • Responsible for the evaluation and interpretation of their findings.
  • Apply established intelligence practices to specific problems which involve manyvariables.
  • Disseminate actionable intelligence and threat analysis.
  • Develop information and technical support documents, summaries, reports, presentationsand other designated products in support of the customer's information andtechnical support requirements.
  • Assimilate and evaluate all available intelligence information relating to their assignedarea of responsibility.
  • Travel as needed to FBI Field Offices.
  • Must be capable of performing all tasks in accordance with applicable FBIregulations, guidance, and directives.
  • Must be knowledgeable of intelligence standards and practices and capable ofperforming all the tasks specified with minimal supervision to include:
    • Open Source/social media exploitation;
    • Use of analytical IT tools (query, link, visualization, etc.);
    • Data analysis (strategic, tactical, and collection);
  • Writing of clear, concise and timely products that identify, analyze, and collatedifferent pieces of information.

Must have a current TS/SCI and willing to take a poly.

  • PhD and 8 years’ experience, Master’s degree and 15 years, or a Bachelor’s degree and 25 years’ experience.Must have minimum experience of 10 years intelligence analysis experience supporting the FBI or a USIC agency
  • Minimum of two years Counterintelligence experience related exclusively to Russia, China, Iran
  • Proven experience developing and writing classified intelligence products in accordance with ODNI Tradecraft Standards for the FBI or a USIC agency in an Intelligence Analyst position
  • Extensive knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Access)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Experience in at least three (3) of the following areas:
    • Providing targeting analysis and/or writing targeting packages
    • Source identification and development
    • Source validation
    • Strategic analysis
    • Tactical analysis
    • Intelligence collection management
    • GEOINT experience
    • One year of experience in the FBI’s Intelligence Program within the last five (5)years

US citizenship

Successfully completed a US Government counterintelligence polygraph examination within the past five (5)years.

Possess an active and maintain a U.S. Government Top Secret (TS) clearance with a Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)  eligibility to onboard the contract.
