Job Description



This position supports an intelligence community customer storage site with a staff of between 20 - 30 made up of both government employees and contractors.  The site receives equipment from contractors, conducts test and inspection activities on new equipment, on equipment being prepared for issue and on equipment returned after use.  Other technical staff build equipment components that support unique equipment configuration requirements.

This position serves as a Responsible Officer for accountability of equipment and supervises another staff member to account for the equipment in the facility, including accounting for equipment that is shipped out, transferred to another facility for repair, returned, and approved for disposal.  For equipment inside the building and shipped for use or repair, the property team maintains location of the equipment in the digital property book.  Accountable equipment in the inventory is both classified and unclassified.  Monitor customer communications channel for equipment requests and related requirements, and translate into initiation of work processes by facility staff.  Updates customers using the customer communications channel on status of request and details of shipments.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Ability to maintain accurate property records on classified and unclassified accountable property.  
  • Ability to lead a team to accomplish the accountability mission with a near perfect degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to train supervised staff as well as other technical staff in the facility concerning the property accountability system, how the other staff supports accountability, and how the property accountability staff supports the overall facility mission.
  • Experience auditing property records and investigating/resolving missing property.
  • At least two years of experience on government contracts are required, including providing inventory management, shipping and receiving and expendables management.
  • Demonstrated Responsible Officer experience. 
  • Two years customer communications experience, and one year experience supporting customer technical operations.
  • Demonstrated experience with Intelligence Community customers equipment management system and Intelligence Community logistics processes.
  • Hazardous material handling experience including appropriate certification. 
  • Fork Lift Driver certification. 
  • Experience with other facility tools, including pallet jacks, banding and packaging machines.
  • Associates level degree is required.
  • TS Clearance with current or recent access to SCI and CI polygraph is required.
