Job Description

Position Summary

As directed, the Logistics Support Analyst performs clerical and physical tasks in connection with receiving, stocking, kitting, packaging, and shipping goods of the establishment in which employed. The LSA must be able to follow established guidelines and procedures during the performance of day-to-day, routine tasks and may direct and coordinate the activities of other workers engaged in handling material to be shipped or being received. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining ATS, verifying data in system and clearing outdated/erroneous data
  • Maintain warehouse inventory/stock through Navy ERP, as well as tracking assets through ERP via material number system
  • Complete Request For Issue (RFI) documentation when assets are required for shipment to locations around the world for mission support
  • Clear errors in ATS/ERP by re-accomplishing/ correcting supporting documentation
  • Ship assets worldwide via ERP system/ DD-Form 1149 creation and track from warehouse to destination and updating information in ATS.
  • Upload supporting documents into ERP for all asset movements in and out of warehouse to include DD form 1348 and Request For Is
  • Understand basic Inventory Management and have accountability of all items received.
  • Track and maintain material through various programs such as Excel and other Alion programs.
  • Receive deliveries as required
  • Maintain signed and completed DD Form 1149 and packing slip folder for GFE (Government Furnished Equipment).
  • Prepare kitting packages for assembly production.
  • Package shipments for delivery per program requirements
  • Assist in processing/monitoring shipping requests and work with various shipping companies to schedule and deliver shipments per program requirements
  • Provide daily reports of material received to appropriate parties.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Program Managers, Production Managers, Production Lead and co-workers is important.
  • Be able to lift up to 50 LBS. and stand for an extended period of time.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus 3 years of any combination of relevant work experience. Some College preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Word, and Excel.
  • Complies with security procedures in the performance of duties.
  • A current valid driver's license.
  • Demonstrate willingness to accept responsibility and work unsupervised.
  • Must be a US Citizen. May be required to obtain a DoD secret level clearance.
