Job Description

Alion is looking for a Manager - IT Knowledge Management (KM). The KM Manager will be responsible for efforts including the development of KM processes and procedures within the IT Team as well as implementation of complex distributed product portfolios and IT transformation projects related to KM.  The role will have operational and development support of the corporate Sharepoint Infrastructure(s) including Microsoft Teams.

Candidate will manage the KM team supporting the development of both internal and external KM solutions.

Deliveries will include key company sites as well as sites used by external customers.

The KM Manager will work closely with the business and IT Teams to help define the overall requirements and timeline and ensure delivery, communication and overall quality and satisfaction of KM projects.

As projects progress, candidate will be responsible for tracking deliverables and budget progress.

Qualifications: 

Bachelor's Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or related field required.

Minimum of 10 years in Information Technology including leadership roles. Employment history should demonstrate increasing levels of responsibility.

Thorough understanding of MS SharePoint.

Experience managing staff of highly skilled IT professionals and ensuring all team members work synergistically with the entire IT organization.

Possess a thorough understanding of program/project management methodologies.

Experience with software engineering concepts, procedures and methodologies.

Possess knowledge of operating systems and hardware and the ability to evaluate in regard to supporting the corporate software strategy.

Analytical and problem-solving skills to define complex business solutions.

Track record of delivering complex, large-scale projects.

Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills with all levels of staff.
