DESCRIPTION

The Project Administrator works under the direct supervision of the Security Engineering Division Lead and will be responsible for receiving, tracking and documenting project updates for security engineering/A&A projects.     

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In this position, you will:

  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of security engineering project deliverables and milestones.
  • Provide performance and trending analysis relative to timeliness for both A&A and Security Engineering efforts, and record/publish lessons learned.
  • Schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate project scheduling risks.
  • Ensure risks and delays are captured and reported appropriately to reporting to Sr. management/government.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with Project and Division Leads, and provides project management functions to ensure stakeholders are informed and issues are routed to the Security Engineering Lead.
  • Contribute to the development of deliverables related to Project tasks. Some technical writing may be required, with the assistance of subject matter experts.
  • Assist other Project leads by coordinating regular/tiger team meetings and keeping detailed minutes.
  • Implement strategies for deploying and implementing new program planning policy initiatives and measures the effectiveness of implementation.
  • Create queries and produces custom reports from databases and spreadsheets.
  • Assist with ad hoc tasks as needed.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in related discipline plus 2-4 years of directly related experience in a government contracting environment. In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted for additional work experience. Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience for positions involving new technology or labor market shortages as reflected by market survey data.             

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of project management principles
  • Basic knowledge of the NIST RMF controls and 6 step process
  • Knowledge of governing security policy highly desirable.                                                                                                                                                           
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Have the ability and flexibility to multi-task as priorities change and situations arise
  • Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Word and collaboration tools such as SharePoint or JIRA/Confluence

CLEARANCE

Must currently hold and be able to maintain a US Secret clearance
