Job Description

HII is looking for a Program Manager 3 to support Joint Munitions Programs in the DC area.  This job requires a detailed oriented individual with a desire to have an influence and assist in Research and Development efforts that could shape the munitions defense industry for the next 20 years. The HII Team is takes pride in customer facing focus.  Growth and challenges are always a part of the Alion Team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The following Duties represent a majority of the tasking but are not limited to these.  Extensive experience required in below areas:

  • Setting up tools and standards for managing the program
  • Planning, tracking, and reporting on outputs and outcomes
  • Understanding of information and logistics management
  • Project financial planning and tracking
  • Risk and issue tracking
  • Cross-project interdependency management
  • Setting quality control standards and tracking implementation
  • Developing stakeholders’ map, defining the interest of each group
  • Planning and executing communication plans to stakeholders
  • Presenting
  • Lead effort for Technical Reviews and Meetings with appropriate support staff
  • Manage subordinate managers/employees as required
     

Education: 4-year degree (required)

Experience (preferred) At least 20 years in DoD/Defense Industry. 

Familiar with:

  • Joint DoD operations and munitions
  • DoD Research Laboratories
  • Joint Integrated Process Teams
  • Pentagon operations
  • Acquisition Process
  • DoD Budget Process

Knowledge, Skills, Attributes:

  • Understands the JMP and/or JEMTP technical and programmatic objectives and understanding to include
  • Skilled in project and program management methodology and technique
  • Skilled communicaton
  • Strong leadership and management skill
  • Knowledgeable in budgeting and resource allocation procedure
  • Innovative in problem solvin
  • Scheduling- Customer and Internal Alion requirement
  • Understanding contract deliverable
  • Understanding of Project Leads-tasks and expectation
  • Coordinating customer meetings internal and join
  • Understanding of Programmatic Issues, Risks, Concerns and presenting Corrective Action
  • Sub-contracts; selection, types, and management, Consultant
  • SOW/PWS
  • Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) Teaming Agreements (TAs)
  • Security- facilities and clearances DD-254
  • Clearance:  Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance (Required). Have previously held a TS(SCI) (Preferred)
