Position Summary:

The successful Project Manager candidate will lead projects for development, design, procurement and manufacturing of unique systems that directly support the warfighter. This position offers significant opportunity for professional growth and satisfaction by working with an experienced technical team to provide support to projects of critical national importance. The Project Manager is the primary interface between customer and subject matter expert teams. Responsibilities encompass successful project execution to meet and exceed all technical, financial, schedule, programmatic and growth objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Relies on extensive experience and judgement to plan and accomplish work.
• Familiar with a variety of the project management field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Develops documentation under CTI's Project Management Framework.
• Oversees development and filing of project documentation.
• Prepares presentations and leads customer meetings.
• Generates project status reports. 
• Collects, documents and manages customer requirements, including establishing and refining priorities and developing project plans and making corrections to resolve performance shortfalls.
• Applies knowledge of principles and theories in his/her engineering field during design review.
• Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures.
• Regular use of ingenuity and creativity is expected. 
• Works with vendors to procure parts, components and services as required to complete development efforts. May develop relationship with vendors as required.
• Leads others procuring materials.
• On a project basis, coordinates with manufacturing department to ensure proper fabrication, construction and assembly of hardware.
• Develops quotes/proposals for projects per customers’ requests.
• Supports contract or contract change negotiations.
• Participates in proposal efforts for new contract vehicles, providing guidance on appropriate technical approach.
• Coordinates with the Division VP, Directors, other PM's, Manufacturing Managers and Proposal Managers.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other related technical field.
• Knowledge of and expertise with the IC and/or DOD.
• 5-10 years of progressive leadership experience in managing engineering projects.
• 7 of the last 10 years working in acquisition, systems engineering, computer science, engineering or training.
• 5 years of experience managing Projects valued at least $500K.
• Experience managing fixed price and cost-type contracts.
• Active Top-Secret Security Clearance with SCI access in the last two years.

Preferences:

• Master's degree preferred.
• PMP Certification desired.
• Experience in cost estimating.
• Demonstrated experience with Quality Management Systems and process improvement, including Lean Six Sigma.
• Experience developing and implementing strategic planning.
