Position Summary

Assist in the analysis, evaluation and development of radar algorithms for the U.S. Army’s next generation radar capabilities. Lead the development and configuration of radar evaluation and engagement scenarios for hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) environments.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Configure and develop radar evaluation/engagement scenarios for a hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) environment for existing and future radar capabilities.
  • Implement radar models in the HIL environment using functional descriptions or models of varying fidelity provided by the intelligence community.
  • Integrate existing radar hardware into the HIL environment. Design and execute performance tests.
  • Assist in analysis and evaluation of simulation scenario results, provide technical assessment of anomalies, investigate discrepancies, and work in a team to drive issues to resolution.

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Physics or equivalent combined with 6+ years of related experience.
  • Expert knowledge of radar systems, subsystems and components.
  • Experience in radar system modeling, signal processing, and algorithm development.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and object-oriented programming.
  • U.S. Citizen with DoD Secret level clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Physics or equivalent with work in one or more of the following areas: waveform design, cognitive radio/radar, compressive sensing, or machine learning.
  • Experience developing test vectors and analysis tools for radar modeling, radar signal processing, or algorithm development.
  • Electronic attack and electronic protection (EA/EP) experience developing algorithms for waveform selection, interference mitigation, or dynamic response selection and control.
  • Demonstrated analytical, applied mathematics and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
