Job Description

Position Summary

Under general supervision, the Senior Program Analyst/Scheduler will provide programmatic support including cost/schedule analysis and recommendations for Unmanned Aerial Systems, synchronizing scheduling efforts across all UAS support and product offices.

This position will support the PEO Aviation UAS Program Office in Huntsville, AL. The Army PEO Aviation designs, develops, delivers, and supports advanced aviation capabilities.

Duties and Responsibilities  

Responsibilities include ensuring consistent, logically constructed programmatic schedule architectures using MS Project Server are developed for the product offices.

Compiling progress reports; overseeing scheduler analysis of contractor provided schedules, assisting in resolving issues, implementing improvements and collecting metrics for evaluation of contractor reporting; providing weekly reports of significant activities and scheduling trends; administer schedule software and upgrades and resolve problems with technical and configuration issues.

Conducts meetings with scheduling team to review progress and issues related to UAS programmatic schedules. Coordinates with all team members to ensure that the programmatic schedules are completed and reported on a routine basis.

Assists the team with the development of schedules that reflect the program goals and visions. Responsible for the coordination and development of training materials to familiarize UAS staff with the capabilities of MS Project server and the UAS scheduling team.

Conducts and coordinates training sessions. Makes assignments from the scheduling pool and coordinate with UAS organization managers to ensure that the scheduling needs of the Product offices are met in a timely and efficient manner.

Assists with the development of scheduling templates and guidelines for the Semi-Annual Review to PM UAS. Responsible for the development of overall Interoperability and Information Assurance, Business Management Division, Hunter and Warrior, and Gray Eagle programmatic schedules and specialized schedules for PM UAS.

Analyzes and reviews contractor Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) monthly submittals, participates in Integrated Baseline Reviews, provides programmatic support to Integrated Product Teams and Working Groups such as Systems Engineering, Logistics, Contracts, Program Management and Test, reviews and provides recommendations for CDRL submittals and assists with the development of contract packages for future and ongoing contract efforts.

Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in related discipline.  Master’s degree preferred.  10-12 years of experience required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Must be knowledgeable in DoD 5000.2 processes

Proficient with Microsoft Project and able to train others in use of the program. Able to administer schedule software and upgrades and resolve problems with technical and configuration issues.

Effective customer and organizational level communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite programs, MS Word, Excel, Sharepoint, and PowerPoint.
