Alion Science and Technology is seeking a Cleared Security Escort to join our National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) team to support a large multi-network environment. Prospective candidates must be able to work well in a team environment and independently under general supervision.

In the position of Cleared Security Escort you will be supporting the Foreign Materiel Exploitation (FME) Squadron of the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC). The mission objective is to help U.S. warfighters maintain their competitive edge by enabling the execution of timely exploitation of foreign aerospace and electronic systems for FME’s Global Exploitation Intelligence Group. Job Description:

Alion Science and Technology is looking for an individual to support security functions at the customer location. The primary function will be to serve as an escort for uncleared individuals into classified areas. This will be a full time position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Escort visitors to workspaces, rest rooms, and in transit while obtaining tools and materials.
• Observe visitors outside in the vicinity of entrances to restricted spaces.
• Communicate with visitors, Alion personnel and government personnel, as required, to facilitate accomplishment of work.
• Assist with signing in visitors and contractors to the facility.
• Verify proper badge has been issued to visitor(s).
• Maintain positive control of visitors throughout the day.

Requirements:

• Must be able to walk back and forth throughout large facility on a regular basis
• Must be able to bend, reach, stoop and lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis.
• The position will also require occasional use of ladders, work stands, and stepstools.
• The escort duties may also include the daily use of PPE gear to include hard hats, high visibility clothing, ear & eye protection, and safety harnesses.

Additional Skills /Experience Desired:

• Understanding of Air Force/DoD security policies and procedures to include control and handling of classified material and opening and securing of classified facilities.
• General computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office applications.
•  Material handling/warehouse and/or general industrial or aerospace operations experience.
• General knowledge of facility maintenance and logistics operations.
• Use and care of hand tools and power tools.
• May require occasional travel between facilities using their own POV.
