Position Summary

Alion is looking for a Senior Scrum Master to join our team in St Louis, MO and contribute to our “Many Moves Ahead”. The Senior Scrum Master ensures the team lives agile values and principles, follows the processes and practices and meet their delivery goals.  The Senior Scrum Master also helps remove impediments and foster an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous flow, and relentless improvement. The Senior Scrum Master focuses on providing the support needed by the teams to be self-organizing and self-managing.

Responsibilities

• Clearing obstacle and establishing an environment where the team can be effective
• Helping other team members communicate, coordinate, and cooperate; generally,
• Helping software development teams apply the Scrum framework
• Planning deliverables and helping teams monitor performance
• Resolving issues that hinder the teams’ work
• Tracking all team work in Government provided management tool (Redmine/Jira)
• Organizing and running all team daily scrum meetings
• Reporting team status and issues at the Scrum of Scrums
• Assisting tracking the execution of Epics, Features and Stories for the team 
• Facilitating planning events with the team in preparation for larger team events

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other related scientific or technical discipline.  Education and work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience.
• Five plus years experience with Agile Methology.  Three plus years working Agile projects within the Amazon Web Service (AWS) environment.  
• Possesses at least one of the Agile Development Certifications:  Certified Scrum Master, Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) or Certified Scrum Professional.  
• Understanding of DevSecOps and experience in JIRA.  
• DOD8570 and AWS Certification desired
• An active Top Secret/Sensitive Comp Info (SCI) with ability to obtain Poly
