Position Description

Alion Science and Technology’s Advanced Cyber Operations division is looking for a highly qualified candidates to work as part of a diverse team of cyber and intelligence professionals providing 24/7 intelligence operations, systems engineering and innovation, and sustainment of Information Technology systems in support of Component Commanders providing relevant products to the war fighter.  The Senior SharePoint Administrator will lead the employment, improvement, availability, security, and maintainability of the customer’s SharePoint application.

Duties and Responsibilities

Perform installation, configuration, and administration of Microsoft SharePoint Web application platform and run necessary system backups. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance on software application related issues. Manage and monitor SharePoint permissions, disk space usage, and server functionality. Analyze and report on site and disk space usage, growth, and activity. May require a strong understanding of software architecture and programming principles. Primary responsibilities include support internal and external web-based applications; and daily support and maintenance of applications. Manage a SharePoint server environment on multiple networks and identify and resolve technical problems. Collaborate with the client and other mission groups and develop site usage reports and disk quota management. Workflow development, SharePoint Designer, and Workflows experience. Ability to create clear and concise process documentation and recommend hardware and software solutions. Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office and migration experience.

  • Lead a team of SharePoint administrators to provide SharePoint services to the customer
  • Ensure goals of customer satisfaction and team member performance are tracked and met
  • Provide notifications to the customer of scheduled and unscheduled outages that affect the operational mission
  • Troubleshoot and solve issues in the SharePoint or any supporting applications



  • M.S in a related technical field and 2 years’ experience
  • B.S. in a related technical field and 4 years’ experience
  • In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted for applicable work experience. Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience

Certifications: IAT Lvl II (Security+ CE)

Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in SharePoint administration, design, and deployment.

Must hold a current TS/SCI clearance.
