Position Summary:

Possesses and applies knowledge of the field to the completion of projects of major complexity. Must have achieved recognized standing in a professional field through original contribution. Conducts highly complex engineering projects providing research, development, design, analysis, production, implementation, and consultation.

Job Duties:

  • Ensure control and improvement of products and processes through the development of standards and procedures.
  • Define and develop quality standards for receiving, in-processing and final inspection in accordance with company and contractual requirements.
  • Review and evaluate highly complex in-process rejections and implements corrective action as needed.


  • Experience and knowledge of code scripting.
  • Develop formal test plans and test cases based on the review and analysis of requirements, use cases, and other design documents.
  • Setup and configure test environments including Software Integration Laboratory (SIL) benches including Software Loading/Verifying (SLV), network communication configurations, radio setup, and startup/shutdown procedures.
  • Perform black-box testing including model-based testing, use case testing, exploratory testing, and specification-based testing.
  • Document Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM) tracing from/to test cases and requirements.
  • Develop test reports summarizing test findings, defects, impacts, and possible workarounds.
  • Develop test stubs, test drivers, and test scripts.
  • Develop Hardware/Software In-the-Loop (HIL/SIL) simulations/emulations.
  • Utilize testing tools (and develop custom tools as needed) including Wireshark, CAN analyzers, hypervisors, and other debugging/troubleshooting tools.
  • Knowledge of software automation to include scripting, debugging, execution, and analysis.
  • .Understand the object oriented and component based product development.
  • .Demonstrated experience with languages: C#, C/C++, VB, Java, Python, Windows and Linux shell scripts (PowerShell, Bash, etc.).
  • .Experience with Virtual Machines, Visual Studio, Qt, and Eclipse, a plus
  • .Troubleshoot test failures, log them, assess their severity levels, and verify their corrective actions/implementations.
  • .Perform white-box testing including API Testing, Code Coverage, Fault Injection, Mutation Testing, and Static Testing.
  • .Expected to travel occasionally to various locations in support of related meetings and test events (i.e. test execution, site assessments, and product/process audits and acceptance).

Preferred Skills:

  • Implement the evaluation methodology and framework for product/system under test (Agile, SCRUM, Spiral, Waterfall, etc.).
  • Develop the program's test strategy, approach, process, planning, schedule, and resource requirements.
  • Working knowledge of embedded software systems.
  • Ability to test and manage vehicle electronic software solutions to provide and sustain operational capabilities within military ground systems and vehicles.
  • Bachelor's degree, plus 0-2 years experience.
  • Knowledge and experiences with the engineering and integration of military ground vehicle electronics systems and subsystems.
  • Active Secret Clearance Required.
