Job Description:

Conduct automated and manual tests to ensure the software created by developers is fit for purpose. Analyze software and systems to avert risk and prevent software issues.  Find bugs and issues within an application before the final product is delivered to the customer. Be or become familiar with programming and using coding languages.  Create/execute typical operational use cases. Have a strong grasp on the major computer programming languages in order to properly analyze the cause(s) behind problems.  Maintain awareness of the variety of applications available in order to know how a test subject should be ranked.

Security Clearance: Top Secret SCI – willing to comply with SAP Requirements

Education/Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Math, Science, Engineering, Statistics, Engineering Management, or related discipline and five to seven (5-7) years' experience, or a Master's degree and three to five (3-5) years of experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.  International Software Testing Qualification Board (ISTQB®) Software Testing Foundation (preferred).

Relevant Experience: One to four (1-4) years with automated test tools, requirements, and version control tools, developing and enhancing test strategies, developing test cases and test procedures and artifacts for various stakeholders, documenting test results for corrective actions, reporting and audits.

Key Requirements: ISTQB®, Jira, GIT, Python, Perl, C, C++, Java, Microsoft or Linux platforms.

Position Specific Responsibilities:

  • Perform software testing and installation activities on multiple collaborative Agile Scrum development teams simultaneously. Responsibilities include:
    • Test design and development
    • Data interface testing
    • User interface testing
    • Security testing
    • Code coverage tools
    • Systems integration testing
    • Application server or OS setup and administration
    • Test and release documentation in accordance with customer standards
  • Ensure builds and baselines reflect accurate versions of software related to test phases
  • Evaluate COTS/GOTS solutions for alternative methods of testing
  • Capable of working in a fast paced, agile environment
