Serve as Exercise Lead in the research, design, coordination and conduct of Special Operations Joint Task Force (SOJTF) level exercise(s) that implements the capability of 1st Special Forces Command (A), Special Operations Joint Task Force headquarters staff.
Qualified candidate will be able to build exercise scenarios/frameworks based on the unit Commanders¿ training objectives, with the purpose of improving the SOJTF Headquarters¿ staff¿s readiness and capability.
Examples of training objectives are (however not limited to these): exercise mission command, exercise and refine battle rhythm and staff processes, execute and assess the effects of integrated lethal and non-lethal Special Operations Forces (SOF) operations, plan and monitor joint and coalition SOF operations, develop and maintain a joint and inter-agency intelligence estimate that enables a comprehensive targeting cycle, counter enemy electronic warfare and cyber operations, and maintain mission command capabilities in a degraded communications environment.
Facilitate the SOJTF Headquarters meeting the training objectives; examples include but are not limited to: establish a task force, provide command and control, conduct joint force staff operations, conduct special operations activities, conduct joint intelligence operations, manage information/surveillance/reconnaissance (ISR), coordinate personnel recovery, integrate multinational and inter-agency participation, and provide operational sustainment.
Provide services, between the hours of 7:30 AM ¿ 4:30 PM Monday through Friday, except federal holidays or when the Government facility is closed due to local or national emergencies, administrative closings, or similar Government directed facility closings. Personnel will have routine access to Government-controlled facilities.
