MacAulay-Brown, Inc., an Alion Company is looking for a qualified Information Assurance (IA) Expert to support Strike Systems Program Office (AFLMC/WWS) located at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH.  Minimum of four (4) years IA experience in ACAT I Special Access Programs or equivalent aircraft development programs to include evaluation of system security and Support the designing, leading and execution of engineering management.

Risk Management Framework experience required, along with reviewing, analyzing and assessing aircraft systems configurations/architectures to identify security, safety, and mission –critical functions/components and critical program information.

Must also have the following knowledge/experience:

  • Provide technical direction and guidance on the application of cybersecurity requirements and the Risk Management Framework for cybersecurity Assessment and Authorization (A&A). 
  • Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments of USAF information systems, platform Information Technology (IT), IT services and/or IT products. 
  • Provide expertise and assistance in vulnerability analysis, testing, risk mitigation, remediation, secure coding practices, trusted systems and networks, secure architectures, and penetration testing/response team tools and techniques. 
  • Evaluate technical documents, determining sufficiency for demonstrating compliance with spec and airworthiness, summarizing findings, recommending changes, and communicating all results to program office. 
  • Prepare and deliver documentation such as, but not limited to, the following:  
    • Specification verification assessments. 
    • Subsystem and component design assessments.
    • Lab, ground, and flight test report assessments.
    • Lab, ground, and flight test procedure assessments.
    • Experimental Flight Release Basis (EFRB) artifact assessments.
    • MIL-HDBK-516B criterion gap and risk assessments. 
  • Review, develop and update applicable documentation in accordance with DoD and AF policies and IA guidance. 
  • Establish and obtain the necessary certifications in relation to Information Assurance (Interim Authority to Test, Interim Authority to Operate, Authority to Operate, Clinger Cohen, etc.) per DoDI 8580.1, Information Assurance (IA) in the Defense Acquisition System. 
  • Perform systems engineering to include expertise in systems design and integration; manufacturing, quality and industrial engineering; airworthiness; and configuration, and data management. 
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain processes to assure weapon systems are fully integrated, manufactured, sustained, configuration managed and operationally safe, suitable and effective throughout their life cycle. 
  • Understand and execute AFPD 62-6, USAF Airworthiness, through standardized processes, and issuance of flight authorizations. 
  • Apply OSS&E and Airworthiness processes, as well as provide risk assessments, safety analysis and recommendations, and address high priority safety issues. 
  • Review/develop/update applicable program documentation for systems engineering relevant requirements/issues. 
  • Participate in and assist in the planning of systems engineering risk assessments by establishing a risk management review, coordinating action item status, and updating risk management metrics. 
  • Support the program office Airworthiness Certification Working Group (ACWG) by supporting, developing and maintaining a comprehensive Airworthiness Criteria Certification (Tailored Airworthiness Certification Criteria and/or Modification Airworthiness Certification Criteria) compliance package, and preparing an airworthiness risk assessment. 
  • Support the planning and execution of the Airworthiness Review Board Meeting in support of obtaining military flight releases/Military Type Certificates. 
  • Produce draft documentation as requested or necessitated by programmatic limits based on cost, schedule and performance to support the airworthiness process. 
  • Provide system integration guidance to aircraft program offices for the program system installation and system maintenance.
  • Review and analyze technical proposals or modifications for design feasibility and system capability. 
  • Support performance effectiveness, cost effectiveness, cost performance, lifecycle cost, producibility, maintainability, supportability, reliability, technical and schedule risk assessments, and scheduling trade-off studies. 
  • Support systems analyses to include, but not be limited to, system design/design feasibility and state-of-the-art assessments. 
  • Bachelor’ degree from an accredited university
