Position Description

Alion Science is seeking a Mid-level Training Specialist to join our successful and dynamic team. Members of this team are highly motivated, self-driven, and able to work well alone or in a group. This team thrives on challenges and attention to detail. The successful candidate will have full life cycle development experience with knowledge and experience in C, C++, embedded systems, hardware internals (both computer and peripherals), scripting (bash, sh, Windows, korn, Python, Perl, etc.), networking and network protocols, internet protocols, Windows OS, Linux, UNIX, penetration testing, debugging, assembly programming language, and reverse engineering. The candidate must possess a TS/SCI clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph.
 

Position Specific Responsibilities:

  • The Training Specialist – Mid Level shall coordinate, develop, and implement all training for the CTS contract.  They shall assess training needs and make recommendations to decision makers; prepare and present training materials for both classroom and web-based training; and develop training documents including both instructor and student materials.

Education/Certifications:  

•           A Bachelor of Science degree in business or related discipline and five (5) years demonstrated experience coordinating, developing and implementing training programs and workshops.  In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, four (4) additional years of experience, for a total of nine (9) years of experience is acceptable.

Relevant Experience:

•           Five (5) years of experience analyzing software and hardware operations to determine most effective procedures for inclusion into training materials.

•           Five (5) years of experience converting designs and specifications into training programs.

•           Five (5) years of experience training individuals with a variety of skill types and levels

•           Trainer, Camtasia, customer engagement

•           Two (2) years leadership in a training environment
