Job Description

The Systems Engineer (SE)/Enterprise Architect (EA) provides subject matter expertise, guidance, and execution for the design, architecture and systems analysis for the program/weapon system. The SE/EA uses systemic analysis to review each aspect of a system or program throughout its entire lifecycle. This analysis informs the architecture approach and design concepts. The holistic approach also allows the SE/EA to identify areas of concern for more focused analysis and assessment during use case development. The SE/EA has familiarity with a variety of SE processes, system modeling, requirements analysis, decision analysis, testing methodologies, lifecycle analysis, configuration management and documentation processes.

For the E-4B program, the SE/EA will provide subject matter expertise with the tools and processes described above to include experience with the development, analysis and refinement of Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) artifacts including all viewpoints identified in DoDAF v2.02. DoDAF experience should also include the ability to work across agencies and organizations to coordinate DoDAF viewpoint coordination, reviews and updates. The SE/EA will also have experience in developing and managing requirements databases such as the IBM Rational Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS). Additionally, the SE/EA will be familiar or have experience with developing architecture and system models, use cases and mission scenarios in tools such as IBM Rational Rhapsody, or Sparx Enterprise Architect. The SE/EA will also participate in the creation and analysis of use cases based on operational inputs of E-4B operators to assess and refine system models and requirements.
