The Surface Training Advanced Virtual Environment (STAVE) System Administrator is
responsible for installation, administration, cybersecurity, and maintenance of backend and frontend systems associated with STAVE. 

Duties and Responsibilities

The STAVE sysadmin will be part of a larger team that performs IT engineering, system integration, hardware and software support, and technical support services for systems within the Navy's Enterprise Tactical Training Network (NETTN).  Candidate will provide IT services and support baseline updates, installation services, software support services, and system administration services.

Education and Experience

2-4 years of experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or related discipline, or equivalent education and experience.  .  In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 8 years of applicable work experience.  Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Experience with Microsoft Windows 10, Server 2012 and 2016, as well as
experience working in Virtualized environments (i.e., VMware)
- Basic understanding of Active Directory
- Experienced with Remedy ticketing system
- Experienced with help desk troubleshooting protocols
- Experienced resolving basic technical issues by providing scripted
guidance regarding software and hardware problems
- Experience resolving more complex technical problems through a defined
escalation process
- Experience with upgrades, migrations and integration
- Strong customer focus, including the ability to manage customer needs and
multiple work priorities
- Experience installing release upgrades
- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs
- Security + and an Operating Systems certification (Microsoft or RHEL)
- Candidate must meet DoD 8570 requirements for IAT Level 2

Must be a US Citizen and currently hold and able to maintain a US Secret
security clearance.
