Job Description



This is a part-time role (20-30 hours/week).

Perform various administrative duties such as assist employees with timecards, assist in scheduling/tracking travel and expense reports, assist with divisional inventory tracking and monthly status report (all performed using government I.T. systems that the candidate will be trained on if unfamiliar). Perform scheduling for activities such as interviews, travel, meetings. Perform office management duties such as visitor sign-in/out, badge issuing/collecting, escorting guests to meet with government associates, ordering office supplies, track taskers, and maintaining the new employee checklist. Assist with the on-boarding of new employees. Prepare staff call meeting briefings and create meeting minutes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1.      Perform various administrative tasks, under the direction of NETTN Fielding documentation manager.

2.      Develop, collate, and track reports such as monthly status reports, based upon existing templates. Reports

3.      Manage and track divisional travel, training, and inventory requirements.

4.      On occasion, attend meetings in Norfolk area and capture meeting minutes.

5.      Maintain records, information, data and statistic on department activities and may monitor project schedules for management.

6.      Adhere to administrative procedures and makes recommendations to improve efficiency.

7.      Advise managers and staff on proper procedures and policies.

8.      Assist with management and update of various NETTN Fielding information repositories, including Jira and Confluence software platforms. 

9.      Represent the department on administrative matters both internally and externally.

10.  Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience:

High school degree, some college or technical training in a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience and at least 2 years related experience.  In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 5 years applicable work experience. Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

1.      Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

2.      Excellent word processing skills and proficiency in Microsoft applications.

3.      Familiarity with Atlassian Jira and Confluence software tools in a plus.  

Security:  Must be a US Citizen, able to obtain a Secret security clearance.
