**An Active Secret Security Clearance required for employment**

Position Summary
Provides a variety of clerical and administrative support to departments, managers, professionals and/or projects.  Assembles and analyzes fairly complex information or data and develops reports.  Translates ideas and discussions into presentations, white papers and correspondence.  Manages the Senior Program Manager and Deputy Program Office and provides executive administrative support to the PMS 339 Program Office.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintains calendars for Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager for PMS 339
  • Makes copies, types reports and correspondence, enters data into spreadsheets and databases.
  • Greets visitors and answers phones.
  • Sets up meetings and travel arrangements
  • Assists with projects and special assignments.
  • Coordinates projects and logistics to ensure smooth operation of NAVSEA PMS 339 Surface Training Systems organization.
  • Drafts correspondence and prepares presentations.
  • Prepares paperwork and forms and develops new forms and procedures as appropriate.
  • Monitors supply inventory and orders/tracks delivery of new supplies as necessary.
  • Maintains records, information, data and statistics on department activities and may monitor project schedules for management.
  • Receives, processes and maintains documents such as time records, travel, invoices and purchase orders.
  • Responsible for preparing weekly and monthly reports involving research and data collection.
  • Adheres to administrative procedures and makes recommendations to improve efficiency.
  • Advises managers and staff on proper procedures and policies.

Required Education and Experience

  • Associate's Degree in a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience and at least 5 years related experience.
  • Education and work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Word processing skills and familiar with Microsoft applications
  • Proficient with Micrsoft Office Suite and Outlook Calendar
  • Highly organized and professional

Desired Experience

  • Navy Experience a PLUS
  • Knowledge and experience of the Naval Correspondence Manual is a plus
