Job Description



Qualifications

Provides mid-level technical contract support under minimal supervision for PEO IWS 4 (AEGIS International and Foreign Military Sales Program Office), focusing on pre-award contract document development. Also assists in the preparation and update of FMS technical acquisition documentation.

Supports the IWS 4 FMS Acquisition Lead, IWS 4 FMS Country Acquisition Teams, and Tech-Marine Business (TMB) IWS 4 Program Manager in the development and analysis of contractual and technical review artifacts, documentation, schedules, and action items.

Comments on PEO documentation in preparation for IWS 4 delivery of contract and technical acquisition documentation in planning and execution of FMS programs in accordance with DoD and USN policy.

Provides regular supervised and occasional independent interaction with PEO IWS 4.0 government and contractor customers and team members, performing frequent internal and external customer interface including regularly scheduled and ad hoc meetings.

Assists in the planning and development of Request for Proposal (RFP) packages for the solicitation of new procurements and major modification to existing contracts while adhering to a strict milestone schedule.

Reviews, develops and updates Technical Instructions (TIs), Statements of Work (SOW), Contract Data Requirement Lists (CDRLs), Government Furnished Information/Property (GFI/GFP) Lists.

Complies with applicable quality and security procedures in the performance of duties. Provides recommendations for improvements to existing quality systems and applicable company procedures and guidelines.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree plus 3 to 5 years of related experience. Degree must be in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or a related discipline.

In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 5 years of applicable work experience. Work experience may be adjusted based on education, or highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience.

Secret clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance is required.

Excellent Technical Writing Skills.

Good working knowledge of the DoD 5000 Acquisition Process.

Good working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Office applications.

Able to walk reasonable distances (up to ½ mile one way) to meet with customers or other company personnel in the execution of job functions.

Able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds in a backpack or messenger bag in order to carry a lap top, notebooks, papers, binders and other tools and equipment required in the execution of job functions.

Aegis Combat/Weapon Systems or Naval Combat Systems experience is required.

Candidates with FMS experience are preferred.
