Alion is looking for senior level experienced Aerial Controllers with significant USAF Air Battle Manager or USAF Enlisted Weapons Director or DoD equivalent Subject Matter expertise to support mission planning and live mission execution during Air Battle Management (ABM)  and other Weapons School Instructor Course (WIC)  syllabus mission support as directed by the 8th Weapons Squadron Commander.


  • Support mission briefings, execution, and debriefings at a level appropriate for Instructor Air Battle Managers (IABM).
  • Attend all required mission briefings and debriefings, provide valid, constructure debriefing comments, and identify and report student trends to the appropriate Syllabus Phase manager
  • Provide instruction support during syllabus mission execution and as directed by the 8th Weapons Squadron Commande
  • As a Subject Matter Expert in a field, analyzes actual and predictable interacting operational activities of a complex military scenario  to obtain a quantitative, rational basis for decision making or resource allocation.  


  • Minimum five (5) years of experience Combat Mission Ready (CMR) as an USAF Air Battle Manager (ABM) 13BXX/17XX OR USAF Enlisted Weapons Director (EWD) 1C5DX OR DoD equivalent. 

  • Five (5) years of experience working in a DoD flying squadron, group, wing, OR air operations (e.g. BCS, BCC, MCS, MCE, AWACS) training program.

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience working with Microsoft Access, Excel, and SharePoint.

  • USAF Green Flag, Red Flag, or comparable exercise experience. 

  • USAFWS Weapons School Instructor Course (WIC) Graduate or comparable course (e.g. CATAC) highly desired

  • Recognized within the organziation as a Subject Matter Expert .

  • Provides technical support to organizational programs and projects in area of expertise.
  • Collaborates with all levels of student and instructor personnel
  • Provides on-going support to the customer.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
