Responsibilities/Qualification

Alion Science and Technology is seeking an Associate Acquisition Analyst to support Division Code GXP, Polymer Engineering and Underwater Sensors / Logistics Branches located at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Indiana. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide acquisition support in accordance with MIL-HDBK-502, GEIA-STD-0007, and MIL-HDBK-259.
  • Assist in conducting analysis against program support requirements to ensure that all requirements for acquisition and logistics planning and implementation have been adequately addressed, and that planning adequately reflects known operational, design, and support requirements.
  • Assist with documenting proceedings, and complete action items and assignments resulting from meetings. 
  • Review system acquisition plans for complete ILS requirements and review engineering changes, waivers, and deviations for their impact on performance, reliability, maintainability, availability, quality, safety, and life cycle cost.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline plus 0 to 2 years of directly related experience, preferably in a government contracting environment.

In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for comparable work experience.  Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience for positions involving new technology or labor market shortages as reflected by market survey data.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Position requires an organized, detail-oriented, self-starting individual who can work both, independently and in a team-oriented environment. 
  • Possess strong communications skills, both verbal and written. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
