Responsibilities/Qualification

 

This opportunity is to support the OSD Joint Assessment & Enabling Capability (JAEC) office.  Employees effort provides technical, analytic, program management, and mission support activities for the Joint Assessment & Enabling Capability (JAEC) office as part of the Force Readiness and Training Directorate in ASD (Readiness) / OSD(P&R). This work will be performed at the customer site (on-site).

Provide technical and staff support for the assessment and analysis of DoD training and education policies and capabilities.



Qualifications

 

This position is contingent upon contracta award.

The Data Analyst provides technical and staff support for the assessment and analysis of DoD training and education policies and capabilities. .

Education / Required Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in a related discipline plus 0 to 2 years of relevant experience. Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience.
  • Must be able to present numerical data effectively and be able to read, analyze, interpret and write DoD instructions and directives.
  • Ability to use selected data analytics tools, to include "R", Python and /or SAS JMP, SQL, or MS Access is required. 
  • Ability to conduct studies of moderately complex technologies, work processes, functions, and procedures.
  • Must be able to work 100% onsite at the Pentagon.
  • Experience using an enterprise-level social collaboration platform to create, share, and preserve knowledge (e.g., milSuite; DODTechSpace, APAN, Slack).
  • Basic knowledge of Exploratory Data Analysis (with associated data visualization techniques) and basic descriptive statistics to perform data analysis.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at Flag and Senior Executive Service (SES) levels within the Department of Defense (DOD) and to engage with partners and stakeholders throughout DOD and other government agencies.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • An Active Secret Clearance is required.
