 Alion’s expertise in wireless communication is unrivaled.  This includes 50+ years’ of experience performing complex RF Engineering analysis for DoD customers, civilian government agencies, and commercial companies worldwide.  Our expertise in collecting, analyzing, and formatting spectrum data, including RF measurement, frequency assignment, spectrum certification, LiDAR, and other geo-referenced data, enables us to produce refined RF modeling and simulation tools and applications with the reliability and precision needed to assure spectrum access and control.  Alion’s analysis-driven tools support diverse tasks such as spectrum forensics and deconfliction, testing for coverage amid urban clutter, and antenna site planning.  Alion's Radio Frequency and Electromagnetic Spectrum Engineering Directorate (RESED) offers a variety of work, from projects supporting international satellite coordination to countering IEDs.  Our work is increasingly important in a world that depends on well-coordinated, interference-free spectrum access.

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide administrative and operational support to line management in a variety of functional areas, which may include finance, proposals, pricing, contracting, human resources, etc.

Leads the planning and implementation of large programs in the function, and regularly interfaces with senior management and executive leadership. Must demonstrated ability to specify cost and financing issues based on reviews of engineering concepts and requirements and designs, and in integrating the multiple economic and financial analysis tasks and activities involved in engineering projects.  

Provides advice and counsel to the organization in area of expertise. Plays a role in overall functional strategic planning. Manages program and project implementation and makes significant contributions to department goals and planning efforts.

Generates quotations on standard products and custom work as required; coordinates quotation follow-up activities with customers and product managers. Reconciles purchase orders with quotes, including payment terms, delivery schedule, etc.

Works with customers as a sales point-of-contact from receipt of PO through delivery of products and services.

Coordinates service/product deliveries, to include: PO travelers, daily delivery activities, domestic and export/import documentation, service and product invoicing, warranty status, etc. Coordinates with sale representatives to perform the tasks identified.

Experience and Skills

Bachelor's degree in a related field with 5 or more years of relevant experience.

Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.

Strong customer service orientation.

Effective organizational skills.

A security clearance of an appropriate level may be required after employment.
