Position Summary

The Business Process Analyst Lead serves as a lead analyst in formulating and defining systems scope and objectives through user needs. May provide expertise on continuous process improvement strategies, organizational redesign, and change management projects.  May specialize in a technical field.


  • Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to identifying and eliminating duplication, outsourcing opportunities, streamlining, centralizing, and/or organization manpower/personnel structure. Defines client needs, determines a strategy and develops a plan/proposal for delivery of the project. 
  • Provides leadership in the analysis of an organization's goals, objectives, personnel structure, manpower needs and offers solutions based on industry best practices to produce measurable and sustainable performance improvements. Identifies opportunities for transformation and business integration. Maximizes project effectiveness and efficiency while reducing overall costs.
  • Plays a role in the overall functional strategic planning.  Collaborates with all levels of customers.  Conducts research on existing and future organizational structure and makes improvement recommendations. 

Education and Experience

  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 10 years experience with DOD/USAF civilian personnel and manpower.  Highly desired: at least 2 years experience with AFLCMC/AFMC civilian personnel, including experience with the civilian personnel acquistion demonstration program.
  • Strong knowledge of the client industry, customers, organization, and business objectives as well as problem solving capability. 
  • Experience with DoD-wide civilian personnel and manpower required.
  • Utilizes advanced knowledge of process improvement, strategic planning, change management, and organizational redesign in determining solutions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • A SECRET security clearance of an appropriate level is required after employment.
