Responsibilities/Qualification

Position Summary:

This position entails examining technical package deliverables (2D and 3D CAD models, technical drawings, Bills of Material, etc.) against a standardized list of data requirements, documenting compliance or deficiencies, assisting in assessment of if and what corrective action is required, and tracking corrective action. The position also involves uploading and managing documents into the Product Data Management (PDM) system, meeting with and explaining to customers and vendors to explain validation concerns, and working closely with the customer in the customer's environment.

Job Duties:

The ideal candidate will have experience performing data management in a I.T. heavy technical data package environment, experience in validating technical data package documents and working with team members on correcting issues, and experience working in an environment with daily interactions with personnel from a multitude of customer and vendor organizations.

  • Provide technical support in the areas of analysis, verification, measurement support, and equipment characteristics. Functions independently or as part of a project team to provide assistance in all phases of engineering-related projects.
  • Perform appropriate engineering computations, measurements, and analyses in support of technical activities.
  • Perform technical aspects of project work either independently or jointly with engineers.
  • Acquire and reviews technical data from appropriate documentation (e.g., technical manuals and internal and external reports), automated files, and other internal or external staff.
  • Review and interpret many complex sources of equipment characteristics data and performs analysis or manipulation to satisfy the project or database activity needs.
  • Design and develops engineering sketches, drawings, graphs, slides, and charts for preliminary or final reports or briefings.
  • Assist in the training of less experienced staff.
  • Prepare written inputs to major reports documenting an engineering analysis and authors or co-authors reports, as required.
  • Verbally present information at project review sessions and in informal interface with customers.
  • Comply with security procedures in the performance of duties.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

  • A security clearance of an appropriate level may be required after employment.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively.
  • Has a thorough knowledge of the organization's databases and the types of information stored in each file.
  •  High school diploma or equivalent plus any combination of relevant work experience or college education equivalent to 7 years.
