Responsibilities/Qualification

 

Provides senior level AEGIS Baseline Development and Combat Systems Integration technical program support under minimal supervision for Combat Systems Engineering (CSE) in PEO IWS 4.0, the AEGIS International and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Program Office.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supports the IWS 4 Combat Systems (C/S) Baseline Manager for South Korea in the development and analysis of technical review artifacts, technical documentation, schedules, and action items.
  • Comments on PEO FMS documentation in preparation for International Meetings and Forums, PARM reviews, technical and releasability reviews of deliverables, System Engineering Plans, Statements of Work and high level working papers. Prepares meeting minutes and develops PowerPoint presentations for C/S Baseline Manager review and approval.
  • Applies standard technical concepts, techniques and procedures to provide support to the IWS 4 C/S Baseline Manager in technical execution and planning of FMS program Baseline Development in accordance with DoD and USN policy.
  • Provides regular minimally supervised and occasional independent interaction with PEO IWS 4.0 Staff, customers, other IWS code PM/APMs, and PARM representatives and provides input to project managers on programmatic and technical deliverables.
  • Assists in the analysis of existing systems and the definition, design, and development of new system requirements. Performs basic engineering work in analysis, design, development, evaluation, planning, testing and operation in support of system and technical product development.
  • Duties often include the collection of information and data, performance of various tests, and the development of technical documents.
  • Complies with applicable quality and security procedures in the performance of duties. Provides recommendations for improvements to existing quality systems and applicable company procedures and guidelines.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 5 to 7 years of related experience. Degree must be in engineering, computer science, mathematics or a related discipline. 
  • In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 7 years of applicable work experience. Work experience may be adjusted based on education, or highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience.
  • AEGIS Combat Systems Baseline Development experience is required.
  • AEGIS Combat/Weapons Systems Engineering is required.
  • Active Secret Clearance is required.
  • Current U.S. Passport is required.
  • US Navy Shipboard and/or Shipyard experience is a plus.
