Responsibilities/Qualification

Position Summary

Performs professional level administrative and analytical duties to administer company compensation policies and practices. Duties include activities such as reviewing salary adjustment recommendations, counsel with managers regarding application of compensation programs, supporting the annual compensation review, creating new job classifications and evaluating FLSA exemption and requirements. Performs benchmarking and analytics for all human capital functions to assess performance compared to industry. 

Duties and Responsibilities  
       
 

Assists with participation in compensation surveys conducted by other companies and organizations.

Reviews requests for new job classifications, creates job descriptions and maintains the eJobs database.

Matches internal jobs to survey jobs, determines market value and assigns pay grade.

Maintains job and pay structure in the human capital information system.

Supports the annual compensation review and off-cycle requests for salary adjustments and promotions.

Provides labor category mapping in support of proposal efforts.

Creates regular and adhoc reports and metrics for all human capital functions.

Performs benchmarking to assess performance compared to industry.

Performs data analysis to assist in process improvement and issue resolution.

Assists with the service award process to ensure employees are properly recognized for their years of service with the company.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in related field plus 2 - 4 years of experience in human capital management.

In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for equivalent, applicable work experience. Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience for positions involving new technology or labor market shortages as reflected by market survey data.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
 

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

Proficient in MS Office; advanced skills in Excel.

Experience in Compensation preferred.

Experience with statistics and analytic tools (e.g., Tableau, Domo) preferred.
