Work in a collaborative and innovative environment support Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC). You will work with several engineering disciplines in an innovative environment to develop innovative solutions and perform technical assessments of potential upgrades and improvements for the AFSOC mission set.
Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:
Act as SME supporting AFSOC/SOCOM technical working groups.
Conduct testing of build compatibility on hardware and software for new releases.
Ensures engineered systems (hardware and software) comply or mitigate risks with Security Technical Implementation Guidelines and other Government publications.
Management and forecast for system lifecycle to include technology refresh.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
8+years experience in computer engineering field.
5+ years knowledge and experience working with TBMCS-UL, TBMCS-FL, C2MM, PEX, TACLAN (SDE), GCCS, Intel, and/or "like" military C2 systems.
Active Secret Security Clearance.
Well versed in industry standard software development and systems engineering processes.
Expertise in Cloud Applications & Infrastructure (Amazon Web Services), Windows, Linus (Red Hat), mobile (e.g. iOS, Android, aircraft integration, airworthiness, and datalinks (i.e.Link-16, SADL, Integrated Broadcast Service (IBS), arris SA, PDA-184, FMV, VMF, MANET).
Server Certifications in Microsoft (MCSA, MCTS, etc), Linux (CompTIA Linux+, LPIC) or vendor neutral (CompTIA Server +).
Be certified or be able to obtain certification to support datacenter virtualization using technologies such as VMware.
Experience with TBMCS- FL/UL, GCCS-J/AF, TACLAN, DoDIIS, and/or video streaming.
For network work, CISCO certifications (CCNA or higher).
Full understanding of Network security configurations and architectures.
Experience in employing common military cryptology components.
For development and engineering projects, require Information Assurance Systems Architect and Engineer (IASAE) Level I certification per DoD 8570.01-M.
Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2 IAW DoD 8570.01-M.
Knowledge of Special Operations, SOCOM, and C4ISR systems and networks.
Knowledge of military tactical data links, encryption equipment, and radio communication devices.
Knowledge of DoD information assurance, policy, and regulatory requirements.
Knowledge of and experience in Local Area Network (LAN) design, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and sustainment.
Knowledge of Special Operations, SOCOM, and C4ISR systems and networks.
Knowledge of military tactical data links, encryption equipment, and radio communication devices.
Knowledge of DoD information assurance, policy, and regulatory requirements.
