Responsibilities/Qualification

Summary:
The Cybersecurity Engineer is part of team providing expertise and cybersecurity products for a DoD acquisition program. The candidate will be responsible for implementing Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment and Authorization (A&A) processes for weapon systems that will generate both unclassified and classified information.  The candidate will apply knowledge of technology, analyze the security implications of systems and applications security, and provide recommendations to decision-makers and engineers, providing experience-based recommendations to facilitate A&A efforts.  As part of this process, the Cybersecurity Engineer will lead the development, coordination, and maintenance all documentation required in achieving Interim Approval to Test (IATT), and Approval to Operate (ATO).
The candidate will ensure that contractual documentation, such as Statements of Work, CDRLs, and SRDs, incorporate cybersecurity requirements that support the development of the A&A.  The candidate will be able to conduct technical evaluations on Vendors' proposals to ensure that cybersecurity requirements are properly addressed.  Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for reviewing supporting program documentation such as, but not limited to:  Information Support Plans, DoD Architecture Framework Viewpoints, Concept of Operations, Initial Capabilities Documents, and Capabilities Description Documents.   The candidate will develop the Cybersecurity Impact Evaluation Recommendation required in support of the Command's avionics modifications.   The position requires working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, and excellent communications skills.

Qualifications:
- At a minimum a Bachelor's degree and 10 years of relevant DoD work experience required.  Prefer six (6) years highly relevant experience working in Certification and Accreditation (C&A) process developing DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) /Risk Management Framework (RMF) certification packages.
- Successful candidates must have fluency in USAF and DOD Risk Management Framework RMF) certification/accreditation processes (DoDI 8510.01) and development of required artifacts as well as the applicable DoD and Air Force instructions and policies with respect to Platform Information Technology (PIT) and PIT Interconnections Information Assurance.
- Candidates must be familiar with and be able to apply the principles, criteria, and procedures of DoDI 5000.02 and applicable Security Directives which may include, but are not limited to:  CNSSI 1253, DoDI 8500.01, DoDI 8510.01, Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS), as well as directives and guidance typically identified in a weapon system's Program Protection Plan (PPP).  Candidate must have a demonstrated understanding of technical, engineering, and programmatic capabilities related to information systems and/or subsystems.  Knowledge of systems engineering principles, network architecture analysis, verification and validation of requirements, and understanding the risk management process and understanding of the operational context of weapon systems employment is desired.
- The ideal candidate will have experience in the A&A, technical security features testing & analysis, and risk analysis, Critical Program Information (CPI), and working knowledge of architecture configuration for weapon systems.
- The individual will have experience in developing and implementing Cybersecurity Strategies.
- Experience in cybersecurity is required and working knowledge of acquisition system security is preferred. 
- The candidate must possess sufficient motivation and experience to perform with little to no supervision.
- Candidates selected will be subject to a background investigation.
- Candidate must be a U.S. citizen and possess an active Secret clearance or higher.
