Responsibilities/Qualification

Position Summary

Under immediate supervision, assists with scheduling, monitoring and closing out of tasks related to the maintenance and update of technical manuals to support landing craft for PMS377 Planning Yard.  Implements configuration practices in accordance with government and industry standards in response to contractual requirements.  Plans and coordinates preparation of project schedules and closeout documents for update of Technical Manuals in support of PMS377 Landing Craft Planning Yard to ensure customer contract requirements are met.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists in the development and establishment of configuration and data management documentation based on program requirements.
  • Processes configuration change documents (Liaison Action Requests and Technical Manual Deficiency Evaluation Report, CCD’s, ATP’s, ECP’s) and records information to manage the changes, including the status of proposed, implemented and approved changes.
  • Identifies basic requirements and coordinates the development, implementation and maintenance of technical manual updates.
  • Coordinates analysis of proposed design changes to determine the effect on the overall system.
  • Maintain IDE as required and respond to all tasking within the schedule and technical requirements identified in IDE.
  • Acts as a technical liaison between functional groups.
  • Participates development and maintenance of databases.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience

High school degree, some college or technical training in a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience and at least 2 years related experience.

Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Highly organized and strong data entry skills.
  • Excellent analytical and application skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite programs; Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
  • A security clearance of an appropriate level may be required after employment.
