United States Air Force Central Command (USAFCENT) is the Air Force Service Component of United States Central Command (USCENTCOM), a joint Department of Defense combatant command responsible for U.S. security interests in 27 nations that stretch from the Horn of Africa through the Persian Gulf region, into Central Asia. This position supports USAFCENT Operations Directorate (A3).

The Deployment Plans contract support position will provide advice and high-level analytical assistance to support USAFCENT deployment planning to include all aspects of Time Phased Force Deployment Data (TPFDD) support for USAFCENT during contingency and steady state operations to include exercise planning and execution. This position will also provide assistance to all USAFCENT functional area managers ensuring requirements are effectively identified in the Joint Operations Planning and Execution System (JOPES) databases. Tasks and responsibilities required by this position include but are not limited to;

  • Deputy Office of Functional Area Manager Oversight (OFAMO) managing all assigned USAFCENT functional area managers have access to appropriate systems and are trained to perform FAM duties in their respective areas.

  • Provide assistance to all USAFCENT Functional Area Managers (FAM) ensuring requirements are effectively identified in the Joint Operations Planning and Execution System (JOPES) and Deliberate Crisis and Actions Planning Execution System (DCAPES) databases using Force Requirements Enhanced Database (FRED) and Joint Capabilities Requirements Manager (JCRM) applications to ensure requirements are ordered in the Global Force Management Allocation Plan (GFMAP).

  • Assist in coordinating the flow of personnel and cargo to destinations throughout the USCENTCOM Area of Responsibility as well as supporting areas.

  • Provide advice for the daily coordination and validation of requirements within the TPFDD to meet the needs of USAFCENT and supporting units to include assisting in the analysis and management of manpower and personnel support of USAFCENT¿s Individual Augmentation (IA) and Joint Expeditionary Tasking (JET) programs.

  • Assist in the analysis and management of manpower and personnel support of USAFCENT¿s Individual Augmentation program. This includes the reception, analysis, coordination and processing of Individual Augmentation requests for Air Force support to other Services¿ contingency requirements.

  • Provide expertise and oversight in the maintenance, inputs, updates and analytical database of requirements in JOPES/DCAPES and monitor sourcing and tasking of each request.

  • Review current and future training and exercise plans, AF instructions, and joint publications and make recommendations for improvement as well as incorporation into unit training programs.

  • Assist in the reception, analysis, coordination and processing of IA and JET requests for Air Force support to other Services¿ contingency requirements.

  • Coordinate with AFPC to provide expertise, and oversight in the maintenance, updates and analytical database of requirements in JOPES/DCAPES.

  • Facilitate the build of Joint requirements and input into appropriate database when required by USAFCENT operations and Report status of Air Force (AF) requirements attached to AF Elements in support of Joint Organizations.

  • Process requirement change requests i.e. Authorized Change Requests (ACR) and Change Requests (CR) following USAFCENT procedures.ovide analysis of requirements and monitor status in JOPES/DCAPES.

  • Review and recommend improvements for current and future training and exercise plans, AF instructions, and joint publications.

  • Facilitate and assist in the effective deployment of response forces to meet emergent contingencies utilizing the Request For Force (RFF) process.

  • Provide assistance to HQ FAMs to define requirements in the USAF deployment system Process requirement change requests following USAFCENT procedures.

  • Analyze and assist in the building of contingency requirements and monitor status in databases (JOPES/DCAPES) based on current operations.

  • Manage the Branch's and assists in the Division's daily Task Management Tool (TMT) system operations. Provide resident expertise in all TMT matters.

  • Assist Directorates and Special Staff with composition, staffing, and distribution of AFCENT message traffic (FRAGO, RFF, DEPORD, REDEPORD, OPORD and GENADMIN) as required.

  • Monitor Branch compliance to message development, staffing, and distribution procedures.

  • Assist and provide guidance for the Global Force Management (GFM) functions of attached USAFCENT forces across the USCENTCOM AOR.

  • Assist deployed units in crafting GFM products for emerging and recurring requirements. Interface with USAF Commands, Higher Headquarters Air Force and USCENTCOM to ensure USAFCENT equities are implemented into the GFMAP.
