This position supports an intelligence community customer storage site with a staff of between 20 - 30 made up of both government employees and contractors. The site
receives equipment from contractors, conducts test and inspection activities on new equipment, on equipment being prepared for issue and on equipment returned after use.
Other technical staff build equipment components that support unique equipment configuration requirements.
• Create printed circuit board (PCB) design solutions for customer requirements. Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure electrical and physical parameters are within specification
• In conjunction with hardware design engineering and other PCB/electronics staff, generates, uses design guidelines and design rules for implementation of printed circuit board design structures
• Performs design rule checks (DRC) on the printed circuit board designs
• Generates, verifies and validates Gerber data of PCB design
• Prepare manufacturing package of the printed circuit board designs for use in fabrication and assembly of the PCB as required by established procedures
• Create, verify and validate symbols representing the physical characteristics of electrical and mechanical components to be assembled on the PCB
• Perform validation of printed circuit board solder samples and prototypes
• Prepare bills of materials and specifications
• Responsible for creation and maintenance of Printed Circuit Board related libraries
• Perform schematic symbol creation and schematic entry as directed by Engineering Management
• Make modifications to product lines as directed by Engineering Management
• Confer with engineering staff to resolve design details or problems
• Maintain technical relationships with PCB fabrication staff, and resolves technical issues during PCB fabrication
• Manage component libraries
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
