Job Description


  MacB is seeking an Electrical Engineer intern/coop with a background in Radar and other microwave related concepts. This individual would be responsible to work with a team of engineers and technicians to design, build, model and test electronics and RF systems. This individual should willing to be hands-on with testing and the evaluation of basic and complex systems and have the ability to work with a small team or under direction of another engineer. Desired experience with MATLAB/Simulink, C-programming, Cadence, AutoCAD, VHDL and willingness to learn and engage in new tasks. 

Candidates will be required to obtain a minimum of a SECRET clearance and access commensurate to their involvement with the USG. Candidates will be subject to investigation as required by the NISPOM, ICD 704 processes, DoD Manual 5205.07, Volume 2, and any additional Government Policy or Directives as determined by the Cognizant Security Agency. Candidates may be subject to a polygraph and enhanced security review.

  • Working towards a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Microwave/Radar Engineering or Related Degree
  • 0-2+ years experience in related field
  • Ability to work with a team or alone as the projects dictate
  • Good analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Good verbal communication skills required

  Desired Experience:

  • Hands on hardware lab testing and evaluation experience
  • Matlab/Simulink experience
  • Understanding of Radar concepts
  • Microwave device knowledge such as mixers, amplifiers, antennas, filters
  • RF calibration and measurement experience
  • RF circuit troubleshooting experience
  • Controls course work experience
  • Signal processing experience
  • Capable of reading C++ code
  • Cadence/Altium/Orcad/Autocade/Multisim
