Job Description

Commonwealth Technology, Inc,(CTI) a division of MacAulay-Brown, Inc., is an engineering services firm with diverse in house manufacturing capabilities for prototype and low volume production. The candidate for the Assembly Technician position will perform electromechanical assembly, testing, troubleshooting and repairs on a wide variety of projects and products in developmental stages ranging from early prototype to highly controlled production of mature products.  The ideal candidate will have a broad skill-set and be capable of performing a wide range of task such as: 

• Ability to assemble complex mechanical and electrical products
• Ability to utilize manufacturing documentation correctly
• Demonstrated proficiency with mechanical assembly tools, equipment and techniques
• Wire Harrness manufacturing to IPC\WHMA-620 workmanship standards
• Setup, Operation and Maintenance of automated wire harness assembly equipment
• Soldering per  J-STD and IPC-610 for all types of solder joints
• PCB assembly utilizing both manual and automated equipment
• Knowledge of ESD control methods and standard practices
• Sourcing and acquisition of commercially available items that meet engineering specifications
• Support electrical and mechanical engineers for development and testing

Requirements:

• US Citizenship
• 5+ years of experience
• Secret Clearance
• Familiarly with inspection tools and equipment
• Drive light trucks and vans for local courier tasks
• Able to lift and carry at least 30 lbs. regularly

Desirable traits:

• IPC certifications
• CDL
