Job Description

The  Employee Training Manager ensures all NITE program personnel receive DoD, company, program, and position-specific training to meet position skill, qualification, and certification requirements. The Employee Training Manager maintains electronic training records for personnel and ensures each employee possesses the skills, qualifications, and certifications to achieve successful contract performance. Interfaces with subcontractors to monitor the status of their training and qualification programs.


  • Required:  Bachelor’s degree in management (Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources), Education Administration, or related field
  • Desired:  Advanced degree in Management (Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources), Education Administration, or related field


  • Five (5) years of managing an effective training, staff development, or employee performance function; of which at least three (3) years should be at the Enterprise level with geographically dispersed subordinates


  • Review Alion workforce personnel training records, documenting current skills, certifications and qualifications.
  • Review Alion new hire candidates training requirements.
  • Conduct a gap analysis between the Government requirements and the individual qualifications for the specific position.
  • Determine the training needs (skills, certification & qualification) required to bring the employee into full compliance for the position.
  • Develop a training plan to ensure that all personnel achieve and remain within training, certification and qualification standards for their specific position.
  • Push required training notifications and reminders to each individual and their managers. Track and report training that is in-progress through completion.
  • Document the individual training completion, update future re-qualification, re-certification training milestones in the Government IMS.
  • Manage the training requirements for Alion corporate annual refresher training, to include; annual security refresher, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, and export control/compliance.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience managing a dispersed workforce and diverse functions in support of large-scale DoD efforts
  • Familiarity with task order functions
  • Familiarity with ISO 9000:2015
  • Experience in Human Performance Improvement (HPI), Instructional Systems Design (ISD), and database management
