Position Summary

The candidate will be responsible for the coordination and support of a team of architects, software leads, and infrastructure engineers conducting an agile process for partitioning the flow of requirements, enhancement requests, and issues into software services, applications, and infrastructure systems for a Joint Training System.

Duties and Responsibilities

The candidate will take the lead on ensuring that the workflow is efficient and that requests and issues are addressed promptly and thoroughly. The workflow will be primarily processed via JIRA and Confluence. The candidate will ensure that results are properly documented using DoDAF views. Familiarity of configuration control and agile processes would be beneficial.

The candidate will be familiar with the concepts of web services and web architectures, distributed systems, requirements analysis, and basic architectural principles such as different systems views. A familiarity with simulation and Joint training would be useful.

Provides technical support to organizational programs and projects in DoDAF views.

Conducts research on existing systems and makes design improvement recommendations.

Provides guidance to less experienced System Analysts and Architects.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline plus 8 or more years of related Enterprise Architecture experience.

Education and work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience.

The position requires a person that has experience with the team coordination and facilitation.

Candidate must have strong background in the architecture of modern web based systems, efficient database design, and open systems architecture. Military Operations, Exercises, Training and Training Systems knowledge is desired. 

Candidate must possess good communication skills as this task requires interaction with military, government, and contractor support/representatives.

Candidate should be capable of creating technical documentation in a web environment and summary presentations that summarize the technical requirements and questions to be considered at each meeting.


Must be a US citizen, currently hold and able to maintain a Secret security clearance.
