Responsibilities/Qualification

 

Position Summary:

The Data Validation Lead manages and supports the environmental laboratory data review, validation, technical report writing and data management for the Contract Laboratory Program (CLP). This is all done following the National Functional Guidlines (NFG). Position is based in Edison, NJ.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilizes knowledge of chemical/physical principles, theories, and established methodologies sufficient to perform the full range of duties involved in conducting data validation for analytical chemistry projects.
  • Analyzes organic and/or inorganic compounds. 
  • Provides guidance to less experienced data review staff. 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, or related scientific discipline, and 5 years of experience in an environmental laboratory, or a Master’s degree and 3 years of experience.
  • Direct experience managing Quality programs of a similar nature.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of NELAC Institute standards.
  • Must be US Citizen; no sponsorship available.
  • Proficient in environmental laboratory QA/QC practices, and procedures.Excellent verbal, oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
  • Ability to be flexible, multi-task, prioritize, and manage multiple activities simultaneously in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Strong team player with the ability to both collaborate and to take initiative and work well independently
  • Superior attention to detail and the ability to meet stringent deadlines
