Responsibilities/Qualification

 

Summary:

Provides environmental, safety, and occupational health (ESOH) materials subject matter expertise and program management to the assigned F-35 user and is responsible to the Logistics Capability Delivery (LCD) Directorate of the F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO). LCD delivers the sustainment solution to all F-35 Users obtaining the F-35 weapon system.  This position supports the acquisition and integration of logistics and sustainment products and processes to enable a coherent F-35 support solution from initial acquisition of the platform to steady-state sustainment at F-35 site(s).

Responsibilities includes ESOH support and program management (planning, scheduling, executing, etc.) of activities (site surveys, activation planning, contract requirements, working groups, and facility design), integration activities, and oversight the establishment of the long term sustainment solution for the F-35 weapon system at designated site(s). Additionally, supports the ESOH logistics/sustainment liaison with assigned F-35 User, assists in communicating/clarifying the ESOH capabilities/requirements to the F-35 JPO from the strategic level (national level environmental agencies/departments), operational level (component commands, air forces, fleet), to the tactical level (specific bases/depots/ships).

Provide support for F-35 National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) (and foreign nations equivalent) documentation for the program’s F-35 LCD beddown activities.   

Provide ESOH Subject Matter Expertise for materials, processes, and technologies related to the environment, safety and occupational health.

Perform as the technical ESOH coordinator for non-polluting technologies, materials selection, and coordinate and manages environmentally related research, development, test, and evaluation for the F-35 program, including projects in the Environmental Security Technology Certification Program and Small Business Innovative Research arenas.

Stays abreast of new developments in government requirements and recommends changes to management in policies and procedures to ensure compliance.

Develops and presents reports, briefings, studies, or other information to management.

Required:

Secret security clearance

Bachelor's Degree

5+ experience in environmental, safety, or occupational health field

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite programs, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Desired:

Experience within environmental policy, regulation development/amendment area

Project management and contracting experience
