We're looking for an F-35 Logistics/Acquisition Principal Analyst to fill one of our requirements supporting the F-35 Joint Program Office in Crystal City, VA.  The F-35 is the premier fighter aircraft on/above the planet and this is an opportunity to work with some of the brightest and most talented acquisition professionals and military officers in the world.  We're building this aircraft for the US Air Force, US Navy and the US Marines as well as numerous international partners and customers.

The F35 Analyst will provide senior-level project support analytic support to the assigned F-35 user and is responsible to the assigned Introduction to Service (ITS) Lead within the Logistics Capability Delivery (LCD) Directorate of the F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO). LCD delivers the sustainment solution to all customer-35 Users obtaining the F-35 weapon system.  LCD is a principle element of the Hybrid Product Support Integrator (HPSI) organization and subordinate to the Product Support Manager (PSM), the Assistant Program Director for Logistics and Sustainment’s (APD L&S) Directorate.  This position supports the acquisition and integration of logistics and sustainment products and processes to enable a coherent F-35 support solution from initial acquisition of the platform to steady-state sustainment at F-35 site(s).

The responsibilities includes support (planning, scheduling, executing, etc.) of ITS activities (site surveys, activation planning, contract requirements, working groups, and facility design), integration activities, and oversight the establishment of the long term sustainment solution for the F-35 weapon system at designated site(s).  


Support the development and management of the assigned F-35 User’s ITS activities for assigned sites from initial identifcation of a F-35 site, to last aircraft arrival at the last designated site.  The incumbent will support all processes related F-35 ITS to include: site surveys and reports; Site Specific Activation Plans (SSAP); facility design reviews (DR); site activation task force (SATAF) events; sustainment readiness reviews (SRR); initial operational capability supportability reviews (IOCSR); and all associated reports. 

Incumbent supports the coordination of all sustainment contract activity to include: requirements identification, proposal generation, statements of work, technical evaluations, contract negotiations; contract oversight and performance evaluation.

Support the generation of the F-35 User Specific Integrated Sustainment Plan (ISP) and the F-35 User WSPD enclosure.

Support the assigned ITS Lead as the F-35 JPO focal point for F-35 User basing and sustainment issues and facilitate the F-35 JPO’s effort to ensure that the F-35 User is advised of the status and progress of work efforts under the ITS Leads’ cognizance.

Assist the ITS Lead coordinate with Government and Contractor teams to ensure sustainment requirements are in place at each site and contract deliverables are met.

Assist the ITS Lead coordinated between the F-35 JPO, Contractors, and F-35 Users to ensure the plans to stand up a site are understood and the associated risks are articulated and managed.

Assist the ITS Lead brief Stakeholders and Leadership on status of F-35 User sustainment activities and represent F-35 JPO at various meetings and boards.


Knowledge of government or other contracting environment relating to technical, scientific and analytic services, and identification of new business opportunities.
Knowledge of the defense acquisition process to support customers in the analysis and improvement of acquisition process policy and procedures.
Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of the Security Assistance/Security Cooperation programs to include possessing an understanding of the FMS sales process from case development, implementation, execution, to closure, in accordance with the Security Assistance Management Manual, DoD 5105.38-M.

Knowledge of fighter aircraft maintenance practices and policies (multi-service).
Master's Degree; 10-15 years' experience or equivalent combination of work and education.
