Responsibilities/Qualification

 

This position serves as the primary focal point for depot requirements and requirements execution within Execution Management; responsible for receiving requirements from the applicable IPTs, ensuring they are properly vetted and documented and working closely with contracting and finance, carrying the requirements through to contract award.  Once contracts/contract modifications are awarded, the position is responsible for monitoring emerging requirements from the IPTs or senior leadership and working them through to contract award.

DUTIES:

Captures and understands depot operation requirements, finances, and required phasing in order to accurately articulate depot requirements in contract documents and to the contractor

Briefs status of depot efforts to senior leadership to include potential problems and alternative solutions. 

Facilitates subject matter expert technical evaluation of contractor proposals.

Resolves technical objectives such as critical technical problems having a major managerial impact (i.e., those problems involving a major deviation from existing policies and procedures); reviews and evaluates efforts to determine effectiveness in the accomplishment of objectives and adequacy of performance; is responsible for planning operations necessary to accomplish work within the depot requirements team.

Provides executive and technical direction and administration by providing guidance of the developing effort and by review of products on an incremental basis; directs methods of coordination and execution so as to provide maximum uniformity maintain consonance with established Department policy.                 

Represents Execution Management in matters of overall logistics support for the F-35 as an authoritative expert and logistics management representative to major task groups originating, reviewing or modifying broad policy plans, procedures, or goals in reference to Depot Operations.

Compose/update documents and design/build management products using all Microsoft (MS) Office products and other applications as required.  These include, but are not limited to, MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project and SharePoint.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Understand acquisition principles, funding policies, and familiar with contract policies/mechanisms
Experience in managing government acquisition programs
Skills using MS products (SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Secret security clearance required
Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience or equivalent experience in education and work experience.
