Job Description

Under direct supervision, provides support to the Facility Manager, Logistics team and Security with the operation and maintenance of the buildings.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with general maintenance, and other facilities functions such as security and equipment inventory.
  • In coordination with the Facility Security officer, assist in maintaining facility security, to include policy review, and day to day Security activities.
  • Assists in escorting uncleared personnel within the secured office areas and ensuring visitors have required badges before entering.
  • Ensures compliance with company and government regulations related to safety, environmental issues, and/or recycling efforts.
  • Assist in the development of organizational policies and procedures relevant to the facilities department to ensure effective and efficient operations.
  • Assist in the development of maintenance programs
  • Performs routine preventive maintenance according to the Facility manager direction; Conducts minor facility installation work include furniture assembly and setup, white board and monitor mounting, etc.
  • Required to travel locally to field sites for facility maintenance issues and verify equipment inventories.
  • May be responsible for opening and/or closing and securing the facility in accordance with the documented procedures. Schedule is subject to change based on operational needs; flexibility is required.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned from each team

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma plus 2 years of directly related experience.  Additional trade license or safety certification may be required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of the practices, policies, and procedures involved in facilities management.
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions, practices and procedures of industrial machine tools a plus.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50lbs.
  • Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports.
  • Ability to manage multiple work priorities.
  • Experience working in facilities in a classified environment is a plus.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • Must be a US citizen.
